Research Associate/Senior Research Associate Gene Delivery

We are looking for a talented, diligent, curious and collaborative Senior Research Associate to leverage a breadth of viral and non-viral gene transfer techniques to help us enable innovative cell and gene therapies in oncology and other diseases. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cell cultures and cell banks; produce, concentrate, and characterize lentiviral, retroviral, and non-viral vectors for gene delivery into cell lines and primary cells.
  • Organize and execute laboratory experiments, according to high scientific standards.
  • Work with project teams to collect and prioritize production requests; organize and maintain inventory of lentiviral and retroviral stocks.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebook and documentation.
  • Follow established safety policies, procedure, and practices.
  • Prepare and present work results for internal and external meetings and conferences.
  • Assist in molecular and cell biology experiments.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • BS/MS with 1+ years of biotech/pharmaceutical industry experiences.
  • Required: 1+ years experience in mammalian cell culture (cell line and/or primary cells).
  • Strongly preferred: 1+ years of virus (AAV and/or lentiviral vector) production experience.
  • Comfortable working in BSL2+ laboratory environments, including producing large scale lentiviruses or retro viruses.
  • Experience with molecular biology and cell biology techniques a plus.
  • Experience in immunology / immuno-oncology a plus.
  • Be dependable, with strong analytical skills, and highly organized with excellent documentation skills and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Enthusiastic team worker with strong interpersonal skills and commitment to work both independently and collaboratively in fast paced environment.
  • Must currently have authorization to work in the United States at the time of application
